This is a lovely example of the Fuji HD-M which was a camera built for tough handling. It has a thick rubberised case, and controls which are big and chunky so easy to use even in rough weather or when wearing gloves. It has fully automatic exposure, and a wide focus ring on the lens. Flash and self-timer controls are easy to reach on top, and it has a rubber gasket for the film compartment to keep dirt and moisture out. This is a fully automatic rangefinder camera (similar to the Minolta HiMatic F). All you need to do is to focus, and shoot. Compared to many other rangefinders of the era, the GEr is very compact and light, so fits in a pocket or bag with ease. It has a light sensor to measure the light level and determine the correct exposure. This camera has a particularly large range of shutter speeds (2s to 1/800s) so can cope with a very broad range of light levels, which is very useful. Lens is a 38mm / f2.8, so slightly wide angle and a very good all-rounder. Condition In good condition and full working order. Takes 2 x SR44 batteries with the supplied battery adaptors.

It offers the following: Shutter-priority automatic and full manual modes One of the widest shutter speed ranges on a rangefinder of this era: 1/1000 to 1s  No batteries required for operation (selenium meter equipped) Rangefinder focusing with automatic parallax marks f/1.9 lens Viewfinder red dot indicator if light is too low Special features include: The focus wheel is where the film winding lever normally is The film winding lever is on the bottom The film rewind lever is on the left side This configuration actually works very well, in particular the focus wheel which makes it hard to accidentally change aperture or shutter speed when hunting for the focus ring. These features were repeated by Fujica on a number of cameras, culminating with the legendary and rare Fujica Compact Deluxe.
