A groundbreaking camera that showcased Canon’s first use of computerization to control camera functions. Excellent functionality combined with ease of use. Introduced in 1984, the T70 has an onboard computer and a good set of features. It has motorized film winding and rewind, and Program Auto, Shutter Priority and Manual Exposure modes (comparable to the Canon AE-1 Program). It has a simple but very clear viewfinder display that tells you which mode you are using, plus the aperture that the camera is selecting. In Program Auto mode, you simply need to focus the lens and click the shutter. In Shutter Priority mode, you can select your chosen shutter speed using the up/down buttons on top of the camera, and the camera will automatically select the correct aperture to give perfect exposure. We also stock the original flash units that Canon designed specifically for this camera. Click here to view. To the left the camera has a slide switch that turns on the power and selects the metering mode / self timer The camera is clever in offering two metering modes: Average metering (good for most situations) measures the light across the whole frame. Partial metering measures the light in the centre only which is great for tricky situations such as backlit subjects or deep shadow. The camera runs 2 x AA batteries, so no fancy Lithium cells needed here ! In very good condition.

Small, light, automatic and stylish. One of the easiest SLR cameras to use – perfect for any occasion. The Pentax ME is the easiest to use member of the Pentax ‘M’ series of SLRs (which also includes the ME-Super, MX). All three share the same lightweight and ultra-compact chassis, showcasing great build quality and lovely to use controls. The ME has automatic (aperture-priority) exposure, so is quick and easy to shoot with. You choose the lens aperture (which gives you control of depth-of-field) and the camera automatically sets the correct shutter speed. The clear LED display lets you know the shutter speed warns you of over / under exposure if needed. Pentax put some thought into making film loading easy too – when loading film the camera has a special spool with many slots so it is faster more reliable to load film correctly. There is also a little window on the back of the camera with a striped flag that moves when you wind film on to confirm that film is indeed loaded correctly. Simple, yet very useful. The viewfinder is a joy to use – big, clear and bright. Available with either a silver or black body. Pentax also released a separate flash to go with the ME: the AF200S (we generally have these in stock). This offers auto flash exposure and is a great accessory to have. Specifications Shutter speeds from 1/2000 – 4s Simple film loading with ‘film loaded’ confirmation window Aperture priority automatic exposure LED viewfinder display: Shutter speed Exposure compensation Over / Under exposure Takes 2x LR44 batteries (supplied)  Condition Body in very good condition with a few light scratches from use Viewfinder is bright and clear Clear / clean 50mm lens (f/1.7) Fully tested with all functions in working order including shutter / film winding / meter

One of the most stylish SLRs ever made, the Canon F-1 is a beautiful camera to use. It was in production for a full 10 years from 1971 until 1981, underlining its status as one of the key professional cameras of the era. It operates in full manual mode, with the built-in light meter. The viewfinder has the match needle system, but also displays the selected shutter speed.  It has a lovely slick wind / shutter release action, and can operate without batteries (only the meter uses battery power). Has a removable prism, and many different focusing screens available along with a huge range of professional accessories. Originally aimed at serious amateur photographers, the SRT-101 has all of the features you could need in a manual SLR camera. Build quality is legendary (both inside and out). No surprise that Minolta sold a million of them. Released to compete with similar cameras of the era (e.g. the Canon FTb), the SRT-101 is part of a small group of cameras manufactured with build quality in mind, rather than the use of cheaper components. With a solid metal body the camera can operate without batteries (only the light meter needs them). It has one of the largest and brightest viewfinders in an SLR (that puts many later cameras to shame), making it great for composing your photos and capturing great images. We also stock a selection of lenses and accessories for this camera - click HERE to view and expand your system. We also occasionally have examples of the original Minolta leather case for these cameras. Click here. Pushing the shutter button is particularly satisfying, with a lovely smooth release movement. The viewfinder has a display of shutter speed at the bottom, with the right side having a needle that indicates if exposure is correct. Simply change the shutter speed or aperture to align two needles and set the correct exposure. The camera’s light meter measures exposure through the lens using twin sensors for accuracy. There is a huge range of Minolta lenses of different eras that can all be used on this camera. The camera has a depth-of-field preview button so that you can check before taking photo, plus a self-timer. Specifications Shutter speeds from 1/1000 – 1s + B Manual exposure control with ‘match-needle’ viewfinder metering Shutter speed displayed in the viewfinder Depth-of-field preview Self-timer 2 lens options available (50mm f/1.7 and f/1.4) Takes 1x SR44 battery (supplied)   Condition Body in good condition with a few light scratches from use Viewfinder is bright and clear with a few marks visible Fully tested with all functions in working order including shutter / film winding / meter

The one of the most advanced manual focus SLRs made by Nikon and this camera represented a milestone - it was the first to introduce computer-controlled matrix metering, Up to this point all SLRs had basic metering with one (or two) light cells covering the field of view. The FA splits the field of view into 5 areas and meters each one separately. The camera then compares these readings with a set of scenarios to intelligently compute the best exposure. As a result it won the coveted 'European Camera of the Year' award in 1984. It also offers advancde TTL (through-the-lens) flash metering with the SB-16 / SB-30 / SB-23 / SB-22 range of flash guns. It shares the same titanium shutter as the Nikon FE2 and has a top shutter speed of 1/4000s, with a flash synchronisation speed of 1/250s. It has Manual, Program, Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority exposure modes. The metering system requires a slightly longer prism than previous Nikons, and coupled with the little LCD display window on the front of the prism this makes it both beautiful and distinctive. Condition Body in very good condition - very few marks or scuffs Focusing screen in very good condition In full working order and with original hand grip Supplied with 2 x SR44 batteries. Available as body only.
