It was the start of a very successful line of medium format cameras from Mamiya, coupled with range of superb quality lenses. The Mamiya 645 range is a great step up from 35mm cameras, giving the exceptional quality of medium format, while also being easily portable.  Specifications are: Takes 120 roll film, giving 15 exposures per roll Electronically controlled shutter Shutter speeds from 8 seconds to 1/500 seconds Battery check button Mirror lock up Multiple exposure switch Twin shutter release buttons (top, front) Accepts optional prism finder to add Automatic exposure control This example comes with the sought-after waist level sport finder - this folds up for waist level use, and also has a flip-up magnifier which provides a huge sized view of the image and enables very precise focusing.  The waist level finder is removable and can be replaced with a prism which will also add metered exposure control. The Sport Finder variant also has a separate set of flip-up guides that allow you to aim the camera while also seeing the view around the camera. This is particularly good for fast action, but also enables the camera to be used in portrait mode (which is a challenge with the regular waist-level finder) Condition Body - excellent overall condition with light signs of usage. See product images for reference. Shutter speeds accurate.  Viewfinder is bright and clear, with only a few specs of dust. No fog or fungus. All buttons/dials fully functional. Shutter release and film advance operate smoothly. Mechanically in full working order. Film back seals replaced. Lens - Cosmetically in excellent condition. See product images for reference. No fog or fungus or haze. Small mark on the front element, but nothing to impact image quality. Aperture and focus rings operate smoothly
