One of the most revolutionary camera designs of the 1980s - the XA2 is a true classic. With it's unique sliding clamshell design, and tiny size (only weighs 200g !) the XA2 was designed as the camera you can take absolutely everywhere.  It has fully automatic exposure, so all you need to do is set the focus (only 3 simple settings) and click the shutter.  It is surprisingly good in low light - great for night street photography. The viewfinder is lovely and clear / bright, with a warning light to warn you if light is low. The bottom of the camera has a switch for battery test, and self-timer operation. So simple to use - anyone can take great photos. A very special compact camera with fully automatic operation. This was actually the first camera Canon ever made with a built-in flash. It is also unusual in that it also has the rangefinder focusing system too (virtually no other rangefinders have a flash). Take a look at the gallery for example photos we took with a Datelux. Feels really great to hold - far better build quality than later (more plastic) cameras. Very easy to use and with a lovely 40mm lens. Just turn the lens to focus and press the shutter button.  Comes with a reprint of the original instruction manual. If light is too low then the shutter will not fire, which reminds you to use the pop-up flash. Takes regular 35mm film. Has a self-timer, and can also imprint the year / month / day on photos if required.
