A stunning example of the beautiful Minolta Uniomat III camera.  This is an interesting camera, with a fully automatic shutter and aperture which is operated via a ring on the lens. Simply point the camera at the subject, then turn the lens ring to match a needle in the panel on the top of the camera.  This simultaneously set the shutter speed and aperture. This camera is unusual in having a fastest shutter speed of 1/1000s - very fast for a camera from the 1960s ! The camera also has rangefinder focus for fast, accurate focusing. In all round excellent condition, with a lovely clear lens. Tested and working perfectly. Note that this camera operates without batteries. Clever.

This is the Olympus 35 UC, the lesser known cousin of the 35 SP. It was available in Japan only and not exported. The only differences between the UC and the SP are that the UC has a battery check button, and it comes in a lovely black / silver finish (the SP was available in silver only). Of the many 35mm rangefinder cameras released by Olympus, the 35 UC and 35 SP are generally regarded as the finest. With a superb quality 7-element lens (which was also used in the 35 LE and 35 LC cameras), the image quality is stunning.  The 35 UC has both fully automatic exposure mode (where the camera selects both the aperture and shutter speed), and full manual mode with a viewfinder needle that tells you the light level so that you can set exposure correctly as desired. It also has a feature that is not found on any other rangefinder of the era - spot metering.  There is a button on the rear of the camera that switches metering to spot mode, and the meter then measures light only the small rangefinder square in the centre of the viewfinder. This enables a high level of control, and is especially useful for taking portraits against a bright or dark background.  Features Lens: 42mm f1.7, 7-elements Automatic Exposure Control: Fully automatic program exposure Battery: takes 1 x SR44 battery using supplied brass adaptor Metered-Manual Exposure Control Spot metering (activated via rear button) Film Speeds: ASA 25 - 800 Filter Size: 49mm Flash Synchonization at all shutter speeds Flashmatic System for correct flash exposure Focus Range: .85m - infinity Focusing: double image coupled rangefinder Self Timer: Lever operated with a 10 second delay Shutter: Seiko mechanical leaf shutter Shutter Speeds: (Manual Mode) B, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8,1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, Weight: 600g Condition Body in good condition with some graceful ageing of the black paint in places The bulb for the battery check light appears to have blown and is non-functioning. Exceptional quality, small size and great looks. Produced from 1971, the 35 DC is a lovely compact camera with a top-quality lens. It offers fully automatic exposure, so all you need to do is to focus and shoot. It has the excellent rangefinder focusing system, which makes focusing accurate and fast. The lens has a wide aperture (f/1.7) which means that the camera is great for shooting in low light.  Take a look at the gallery for some example shots taken with a 35 DC. The quality is excellent from the 6-element lens. It also has a back-light compensation button for use when shooting e.g. a person with a light behind them. This increases the exposure to compensate for the light behind the subject.  Features: Self-timer 40mm f1.7 lens Automatic aperture and shutter speed control Shutter speed range from 1/500 to 1/15s Backlight compensation button Flash hot shoe All-metal construction Rangefinder focusing system Viewfinder displays aperture and shutter speed Condition: Body and lens in excellent condition with no major marks

See the gallery for some example shots we took on a 35 EE. Description of camera This is an unusual and highly capable rangefinder camera from 1961. It offers the following: Shutter-priority automatic and full manual modes One of the widest shutter speed ranges on a rangefinder of this era: 1/1000 to 1s  No batteries required for operation (selenium meter equipped) Rangefinder focusing with automatic parallax marks f/1.9 lens Viewfinder red dot indicator if light is too low Special features include: The focus wheel is where the film winding lever normally is The film winding lever is on the bottom The film rewind lever is on the left side This configuration actually works very well, in particular the focus wheel which makes it hard to accidentally change aperture or shutter speed when hunting for the focus ring. These features were repeated by Fujica on a number of cameras, culminating with the legendary and rare Fujica Compact Deluxe. Condition Body in good no major scratches or dents.  Lens clear with no marks visible. Meter working accurately
