One of the easiest SLR cameras to use - simple controls and automatic operation. Introduced in 1983, the T50 is aimed at simplicity. It has motorized film winding with easy film loading, and operates in Program Automatic mode. This means that the camera sets both the shutter speed and aperture, so all you need to do is focus the lens and shoot. The controls on the top are minimal, so it is hard to get things wrong, and the zoom lens lets you get closer to the action. We also stock the original flash units that Canon designed specifically for this camera. Click here to view. The camera runs on 2 x AA batteries, and is an excellent starter for people getting into film photography. Camera and lens both in excellent condition, and full working order.

One of the smallest and lightest SLR cameras yet has a fully metal body, large bright viewfinder and simple controls for automatic / manual operation. Reasons why your parents probably owned one ! The ME-Super is the all-rounder member of the Pentax ‘M’ series of SLRs (which also includes the ME, MX). All three share the same lightweight and ultra-compact chassis, showcasing great build quality and lovely to use controls. The ME-Super has both automatic (aperture-priority) and manual exposure modes to cope with a wide range of situations. In aperture priority you can choose the lens aperture (which gives you control of depth-of-field) and the camera automatically sets the correct shutter speed. The clear LED display lets you know the shutter speed warns you of over / under exposure if needed. If using manual mode there are two buttons on the top of the camera for you to select shutter speed and again the viewfinder tells you when exposure is correct. Pentax put some thought into making film loading easy too – when loading film the camera has a special spool with many slots so it is faster more reliable to load film correctly. There is also a little window on the back of the camera with a striped flag that moves when you wind film on to confirm that film is indeed loaded correctly. Simple, yet very useful. The viewfinder is a joy to use – big, clear and bright. Pentax also released a separate flash to go with the ME-Super: the AF200S (we generally have these in stock). This offers auto flash exposure and also syncs with the ‘flash ready’ LED in the ME-Super viewfinder which is a nice touch. Specifications Shutter speeds from 1/2000 – 4s Simple film loading with ‘film loaded’ confirmation window Aperture priority automatic / manual exposure modes LED viewfinder display: Shutter speed Exposure compensation Over / Under exposure Flash ready indicator 50mm f/1.7 lens  Takes 2x LR44 batteries (supplied)  Condition Body in very good condition with a few light scratches from use Viewfinder is bright and clear, with a little dust as expected Fully tested with all functions in working order including shutter / film winding / exposure meter

A groundbreaking camera that showcased Canon’s first use of computerization to control camera functions. Excellent functionality combined with ease of use. Introduced in 1984, the T70 has an onboard computer and a good set of features. It has motorized film winding and rewind, and Program Auto, Shutter Priority and Manual Exposure modes (comparable to the Canon AE-1 Program). It has a simple but very clear viewfinder display that tells you which mode you are using, plus the aperture that the camera is selecting. In Program Auto mode, you simply need to focus the lens and click the shutter. In Shutter Priority mode, you can select your chosen shutter speed using the up/down buttons on top of the camera, and the camera will automatically select the correct aperture to give perfect exposure. We also stock the original flash units that Canon designed specifically for this camera. Click here to view. To the left the camera has a slide switch that turns on the power and selects the metering mode / self timer The camera is clever in offering two metering modes: Average metering (good for most situations) measures the light across the whole frame. Partial metering measures the light in the centre only which is great for tricky situations such as backlit subjects or deep shadow. The camera runs 2 x AA batteries, so no fancy Lithium cells needed here ! In very good condition.
