Small, light, automatic and stylish. One of the easiest SLR cameras to use – perfect for any occasion. The Pentax ME is the easiest to use member of the Pentax ‘M’ series of SLRs (which also includes the ME-Super, MX). All three share the same lightweight and ultra-compact chassis, showcasing great build quality and lovely to use controls. The ME has automatic (aperture-priority) exposure, so is quick and easy to shoot with. You choose the lens aperture (which gives you control of depth-of-field) and the camera automatically sets the correct shutter speed. The clear LED display lets you know the shutter speed warns you of over / under exposure if needed. Pentax put some thought into making film loading easy too – when loading film the camera has a special spool with many slots so it is faster more reliable to load film correctly. There is also a little window on the back of the camera with a striped flag that moves when you wind film on to confirm that film is indeed loaded correctly. Simple, yet very useful. The viewfinder is a joy to use – big, clear and bright. Available with either a silver or black body. Pentax also released a separate flash to go with the ME: the AF200S (we generally have these in stock). This offers auto flash exposure and is a great accessory to have. Specifications Shutter speeds from 1/2000 – 4s Simple film loading with ‘film loaded’ confirmation window Aperture priority automatic exposure LED viewfinder display: Shutter speed Exposure compensation Over / Under exposure Takes 2x LR44 batteries (supplied)  Condition Body in very good condition with a few light scratches from use Viewfinder is bright and clear Clear / clean 50mm lens (f/1.7) Fully tested with all functions in working order including shutter / film winding / meter

The lovely Pentax MX is excellent for beginners, but has fantastic build quality. With a full metal chassis and metal top / bottom it is built to last. We generally have both silver and black bodies in stock. Let us know if you have a preference. (Note that the famous Pentax K1000 is actually a budget / reduced functionality version of the MX). The MX is a much more compact camera. It operates in full manual mode, with the built-in light meter. The viewfinder displays the selected shutter speed and a series of lights to indicate if you are over / under exposed. Just turn the shutter or aperture rings until the green light comes on. Also has a self timer, and depth-of-field preview - a useful feature that is normally on higher-end cameras of the era. This a very compact, fully mechanical SLR - the shutter speeds all operate independently of the battery (which is only needed to power the light meter). The MX has no auto-exposure mode, but it is very easy to shoot with and will really help you to learn about the fundamentals of photography. We also stock a book: 'Learn Film Photography with the Pentax MX'. Check it out here. Great for learning about photography using this camera. Condition Good condition - small dent to the top of the prism area. All functions are working correctly including the light meter and all shutter speeds We also stock a selection of Pentax lenses for this camera - click HERE to view and expand your system !

The Pen-F range is a unique set of 3 half-frame SLR cameras produced by Olympus between 1963 and 1970. This example is the Pen FT, on sale from 1966-72. All models have interchangeable lenses with a huge range of lenses that were originally available. It is the only model of the range that has a built-in light meter. It is a very simple system - when you point the camera at your subject the viewfinder has a needle that indicates a light value from 0 to 7. Simply set that value on the lens and the exposure is correct. If the needle is out of range, then select a different shutter speed (either faster or slower). In this example, the meter response is very low, so an external meter should be used.  The lens also has regular aperture markings. This example comes with a 38mm f/1.8 original lens and the original lens cap.   Condition Body in excellent condition with no dents and no significant marks Leatherette in great original condition with no cuts or tears Some dust visible in the viewfinder Self-timer operating correctly Meter response is low, so a separate meter is required All shutter speeds accurate
