This camera is available for purchase at Rewind Photo Lab, Alexandria NSW. Originally on sale from 1967 this top quality camera has a full die-cast metal body. It takes 4x AA batteries in the handle which folds away when not in use. See the gallery for a test film shot with this camera. This camera has a number of very useful features that not all Super-8s have, as you might expect from Nikon: The viewfinder has a Split Image focusing screen - much more accurate than most Super-8s Manual exposure control, which also enables you fade in / out of scenes Meter works with a very wide range of film speeds The left side of the camera has a footage counter, remote socket and frame rate selector. The zoom lens can be operated manually or motorised via the top Tele/Wide switch. This camera normally also needs 2 x SR44 batteries to operate the light meter. We offer an option to upgrade the camera to power the meter from the main batteries using a precise voltage regulator. This removes the need for additional batteries in addition to providing a very stable supply for greater meter accuracy. Has an adjustable eyepiece and battery check button on the top. Key specifications Lens: Cine Nikkor 1,8 / 7,5 - 60 mm Split Image Focusing Auto / Manual Zoom Frame rates: 12, 18, 24 + single frame (via cable release socket) Takes film speeds: 10/16, 16/25, 25/40, 40/64, 64/100, 100/160, 250/400 (daylight/tungsten) Shutter degree: 170 Manual / Auto Exposure Fade in /out via manual exposure control Remote control socket Tripod socket Made in Japan Condition In perfect working order - all functions operating correctly. This camera is available for purchase at Rewind Photo Lab, Alexandria NSW. The top-of-the range Minolta Super-8 camera - one of the finest Super-8 movie cameras ever made. The Minolta D12 is superb Super-8 cine camera with advanced features for serious movie making. It features a 'lap-dissolve' function that lets you transition from one scene to another, with an overlapping fade out / in. Very few cameras have this capability. It has a very sold die-cast metal body and metal case, and one of the brightest viewfinders we have seen on a Super-8 (in this respect it is a step up from the competing Nikon R10/R8 cameras). This camera was released with a range of professional accessories including an intervalometer (which takes a single frame automatically at preset intervals), and a radio remote release. We occasionally have these accessories - please contact us for details. This camera is film tested - see the sample video for a test film including testing of the lap dissolve function. It has a range of manual controls for advanced creativity and the ability to deal with a variety of shooting conditions including: 5-stage variable zoom speed (from 2 to 12 seconds for full zoom range) Full viewfinder information: f/stop, exposure warning signal, shutter open / close degree, safe-run signal, film-end signal Exposure override control (+/- 2 stops in automatic exposure mode) Manual exposure control Manual control of shutter opening degree Automatic shutter opening / closing (for fade-out and fade-in) Extremely wide range of film speeds: ISO 16, 25, 40, 64, 100, 160, 150, 400 and 640 Shooting speeds 8, 12, 18, 24, 32, 50 fps (32 and 50 require an additional battery pack) Takes 5x AA batteries Beautiful chrome metal body, with a weight of 1990g. Condition In overall excellent condition Leatherette in original condition with no damage Lovely clean lens All functions working well including the automatic exposure control, exposure override, variable shutter, fade-in / fade-out Clean battery compartment -
