Shipping Policy

Dispatch times
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-4 working days. We will provide a tracking number via email once your order has been dispatched. If there are any delays in dispatching your items then we will be in touch via email.

If your order is urgent (e.g. for a birthday gift) please contact us and we can expedite and let you know a firm dispatch date.

Auspost standard parcel - $25. Approximately 5-8 business days

 

Asia

Auspost standard parcel - $30. Approximately 7-12 business days

 

Europe

Auspost standard parcel - $45. Approximately 10-30 business days

 

USA

Auspost standard parcel - $45. Approximately 10-15 business days

 

 

Return and Refund Policy

All Classic Camera items are inspected and tested using professional equipment to ensure that they are operating in their original condition, with any servicing and repair completed as needed. If there are any residual issues with the camera then these are indicated on the item listing in our store. We provide multiple photos in our online shop so that you can see any existing usage marks on our cameras which are normal for pre-loved cameras of this era and highlight any issues with the camera.

Given the age of these items, we appreciate that problems can sometimes arise during shipping and so we are happy to offer 45-day returns for any items that arrive damaged or with faults not described in the shop. The return period starts on the day that your item arrives and lasts for 45 calendar days.

If you wish to make a return claim for either a refund or exchange, you have until the end of day 45 (following delivery) to submit.

In order to make the claim the following process is required:

  • Claim request must be submitted via email to info@classiccameras.com.au with details of the problem, and the original order information.
  • Classic Cameras will review the claim and respond / authorise.
  • Classic Cameras will provide the return shipping address.
  • Customer to repack the item with original (or equivalent packing) and send back with delivery tracking.
  • Camera must arrive back within 30 days of the claim being authorised.
  • Classic Cameras will inspect the item and refund the original purchase price back to the purchaser (unless an exchange is requested, subject to an equivalent camera being available in stock). Note that we are unable to refund the costs of shipping the camera back to Classic Cameras.

We also offer 14-day returns for all items where the individual item price is $250 AUD or more. The camera must be returned to us within 14 calendar days of delivery and must be received by us in original condition, and unmodified / dismantled. After checking, we will refund the original purchase price which you should receive within 5 days. 

Note that we are unable to refund the costs of shipping the camera back to Classic Cameras.

Classic Cameras aims for the highest standards in customer satisfaction, but we are unable to accept claims for the following reasons:

  • Change of mind outside the above 14-day return period, or where item price is less than $250 AUD.
  • Customer does not like the camera or the quality of photos
  • Camera has been dropped / damaged following receipt
  • Camera has been modified / dismantled
  • Customer does not know how to operate the camera
