Terms and Conditions for Camera Rentals
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the rental of cameras and related equipment from Classic Cameras Pty Ltd ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to the customer ("you" or "your"). By renting equipment from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Rental Period
2.1 For cameras collected from and returned to Classic Cameras in person:
- The rental period starts on the calendar day and time that the camera is picked up from Classic Cameras and days are calculated for every 24 hour period (or part) that the camera is in the possession of the renter.
- The minimum rental period is 3 days
2.2 For cameras posted to and from the customer:
- The rental period starts on the start day requested by the customer. Classic Cameras will dispatch the camera via Express Post at least 3 business days prior to the start day.
- The rental period ends on the calendar day prior to the date that the camera is handed in to a Post Office for return. Note that the camera must be handed in to a Post Office and should not be posted in a post box (which delays the return).
3. Rental Fees and Payment
3.1 A full security deposit is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon.
3.2 The security deposit will be refunded upon return of the equipment in satisfactory condition, less the cost of the camera rental days and postage (unless collected from / returned to the Classic Cameras premises).
4. Use of Equipment
4.1 You agree to use the equipment in a careful and proper manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
4.2 You shall not make any alterations or repairs to the equipment without our prior written consent.
4.3 You are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment during the rental period.
5. Maintenance and Damage
5.1 You must notify us immediately of any damage to or malfunction of the equipment.
5.2 You are responsible for any damage to the equipment caused by your negligence, misuse, or failure to follow operating instructions.
5.3 We will provide routine maintenance for the equipment.
6. Insurance
6.1 You are encouraged to obtain insurance coverage for the rented equipment.
7. Liability
7.1 We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from your use of the rented equipment, or delay in arrival (when sent via post).
7.2 Our liability for any claim arising out of this agreement is limited to the rental fees paid by you.
7.3 While every effort is made to properly test the equipment prior to each rental, we are not liable for any malfunction of the equipment.
8. Termination
8.1 We may terminate this agreement immediately if you breach any terms of this agreement.
8.2 Upon termination, you must return the equipment immediately and pay any outstanding fees.
9. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales.
10. Entire Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Classic Cameras Pty Ltd regarding the rental of equipment and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or otherwise providing notice to you.

By paying the security deposit for the rental agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
