A great choice for getting into film photography for the first time

The Canon AV-1 is a lovely automatic film camera from the 1970s. It has automatic exposure - just select the lens aperture, focus the lens and click the shutter.

This makes it very easy to use, while also giving you control over aperture which is great for portraits where a wide aperture will give you a nice blurred background ('bokeh').

We have put together a lovely gift set consisting of:

  • 1 x Canon AV-1 camera. Tested and in full working order
  • Camera strap
  • Batteries
  • 1 roll of Kodak film
  • A choice of lenses:
    • 50mm 'standard' lens
    • 35-70mm zoom (spans from wide-angle to portrait)

The AV-1 has a 'B' shutter setting which you can use for long exposure night photos, plus a self-timer.

This camera comes with a choice of either an original Canon 35-70mm zoom lens - nice and flexible for a variety of situations, or a Canon 50mm standard lens.
