FILM TESTED Elmo 612R Super-8 cine camera

Not a camera that we often see - this is one of the highest-spec Super-8 cameras around.

This cine camera has it all. The specs include:

• Very wide aperture lens (f/1.2) - great for low lighting conditions
• 6 x power zoom with variable speed
• Full viewfinder information: f/stop, shutter open / close degree, film-end signal, shooting signal
  
• Macro setting for close-ups
• Split-prism for focusing
• Exposure override control (+2 stops to -1 stop)
• Manual exposure control
• Manual control of shutter opening degree
• Automatic shutter opening / closing (for fade-out and fade-in)
• Built-in intervalometer. This takes single shots at intervals of 0.6s to 30s (user set) and takes time lapses of e.g. flowers opening, sunsets. A rare and cool feature.
• Film reverse function (which enables lap dissolves to be done)
• Slow-motion switch
• Folding handle

• Takes film speeds: Daylight (ISO 25, 100) and Tungsten (40, 160)
