Stylish German engineering at it's best !
The Nizo Integral 5 is a very impressive looking camera, with a built-in folding shoulder rest and a zoom microphone that extends out to the front. The microphone can be removed (since sound film is no longer available), and the shoulder rest folds back neatly when not in use.
See the gallery for a short test video we shot with this camera.
Made in Germany from 1979-83 the body has a row of control switches on the left and a pretty good set of specs.
It comes with a 8-40mm f/1.2 Schneider lens (5x zoom).
The controls on the camera give the following capabilities:
- Interval Timer - shoots one frame every 5 or 15 seconds.
- 25/40 and 100/160 ISO (daylight/tungsten) film speeds
- Automatic exposure control with manual override
- Backlight exposure adjustment
- Fade-in and Fade-out
- 18 / 24 frames-per-second shooting speeds + single frame
- Daylight / tungsten filter switch
- Hand grip containing the batteries (6 x AA)
- Remote cable release socket
In full working order, this camera has a very clean viewfinder and lens, and the split prism focusing is very clear for good focusing accuracy.
