A lovely example of the legendary Scoopic. This camera has been film tested (using Kodak Vision 3 50D film and 24 fps frame rate). See the gallery for a short test video.
The Scoopic is an iconic camera that was used extensively from 1974, primarily for press work. It has a unique design with the handle offering superb vertical support for stability.
It has a wonderful zoom lens (13 - 76mm), taking 72mm filters at the front.
Lens zoom is manual with the camera having the original silver zoom lever.
On the right of the camera is the power switch with settings for Auto and Manual exposure.
In automatic mode the camera measures the light and automatically changes the aperture. This system is operating smoothly, and the aperture value is shown at the top of the viewfinder.
Manual aperture control is also possible.
The camera handles film speeds of ISO 20 - 320 in 1/3 stop increments.
Frame rates are 16 / 24 / 32 / 48.
