Agfa Movexoom 3000 Super-8 movie camera

A truly unique looking Super-8, these cameras are rather interesting.

In the 1970s when Super-8 was building in popularity, Agfa (a major German camera manufacturer) wanted to sell a product. Instead of building up the technical capability in-house, they approached Minolta who already had experience building Super-8 cameras.

 The result was an amazing piece of German styling with Japanese manufacturing and technology.

While the camera looks unusual it is a joy to use. The videwfinder is one of the biggest and brightest you can get on a Super-8, and the camera has lovely metal construction.

It has a wide range of shooting speeds, plus the addition of a 'lap dissolve' function so you can transition from one scene to another.

The lens zoom and focusing controls are unusually on the left of the camera body.
