Konica Electron Rangefinder camera
Konica Electron Rangefinder camera
This is a fairly rare, larger rangefinder camera introduced in 1969. It was aimed to compete with other cameras of the time, such as the Minolta HiMatic and Yashica Electro 35 series.
It is unusual in that it has a flashcube socket on the top (flashcubes are non-reusable disposable flash blocks that have four flashes per unit – you can still find them on eBay).
It has a lovely wide (f1.8) 6 element lens giving excellent quality photos, and a distinctive double light sensor just above the lens. Having two light sensors gives it better performance under lower light conditions.
It is a beautiful camera, with fully automatic exposure control so easy to use, and rangefinder focusing.
