Pentax Super-A film camera with 50mm f/2.0

Building on the success of the ME-Super, Pentax released the Super A in 1983.

The Super A added a number of important capabilities to the ME-Super, giving the following exposure modes:

• Full manual
• Program mode (camera automatically selects both aperture and shutter speed)
• Shutter priority
• Aperture priority

The viewfinder display was upgraded to twin LCD panels at the bottom of the view, showing:

• Exposure mode
• Shutter speed
• Aperture

The camera also boasts a separate LCD exposure display on the top of the body, and also has depth of field preview.
